Knowledge of how to verify a patient’s insurance for neurofeedback

  • If a patient requires that NFB codes need to be verified as billable, follow the steps above for Mental Health Benefits, then ask the representative to be transferred to Medical Benefits

  • Once successfully transferred, let the representative know that you would like to verify some CPT codes for out-patient, in-office treatment

  • Give the representative the codes listed in the “Neurofeedback” section of the VOB form

  • Once verified, check each code that is billable
